Cage! The term "cage" shall mean an <br /> enclosure containing at least the <br /> minimum square feet or floor space as <br /> required by the North Carolina Wildlife <br /> Resources Commission Regulation, which <br /> are adopted and incorporated herein by <br /> reference, which cage shall be <br /> constructed of bars or wire mesh of <br /> adequate strength, or equivalent <br /> material, which secures all sides, top, <br /> and bottom from entry or egress . The <br /> bottom of said cage shall be constructed <br /> of at least 3 inches of concete or of <br /> solid steel at least 3/8 inches thick. <br /> The said cage shall be constructed so as <br /> to have a common roof and a common floor <br /> with the outer fence hereinafter <br /> required. <br /> e . Running at Large: The term "running at <br /> large" shall mean the act or state of <br /> being outside of the enclosure system <br /> required by this Ordinance, except when <br /> removal from such enclosure is necessary <br /> to provide veterinary care or to <br /> transport the animal to another place of <br /> permanent confinement and the animal is <br /> secured in a temporary cage or is <br /> securely bound and adequately sedated so <br /> that such removal provides no chance for <br /> the animal to escape and endanger the <br /> public. <br /> 2 <br />
