- , <br /> • <br /> EXHIBIT "A' <br /> CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT BEZiEEN ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br /> AND ORANGE COUNTY ABC BOARD <br /> 1 <br /> The Orange County Sheriff's Department will provide the Orange County <br /> Alcohol BeveragelControl Board a comprehensive enforcement program <br /> which includes tile following: <br /> I <br /> 1. Al]. personnel in the Orange County Sheriff's Department will be <br /> instruct?d as to their responsibility for ABC enforcement, <br /> 2. Al]. personnel will be aware they are responsible for and will <br /> act on any violation occurring in their presence and will act <br /> accordingly on any information concerning violations brought <br /> to theirlattention by citizens or other means. <br /> 3. All Orange County Sheriff's Department personnel will be in- <br /> structed!in North Carolina General. Statutes Chapter 18, Orange <br /> County Okdinances pertaining to ABC violations and Orange <br /> County ABC Board policy. <br /> 4. ABC operations such as undercover operations surveillance of - <br /> illegal til.1 operations will be the responsibility of the <br /> Sheriff's Department- <br /> i <br /> 5. Al]. perTnel on patrol, uniform and non-uniform will be in- <br /> structed to check Orange County ABC stores for any violations <br /> occurring on the lots - drinking on the premises, under age <br /> purchases, public intoxication, rowdiness, etc. The Sheriff's <br /> Department district system will provide this coverage on a <br /> 24-hour basis. <br /> i <br /> 6. PersonneL will be 'available and accessible to Orange County <br /> citizens for any ABC complaints on a 24-hour basis and will <br /> respond accordingly. <br /> I , <br /> 7. Personnei will be directed to check all businesses which have <br /> ABC licerises to insure proper compliance. <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 8, Money es orts will be available for ABC outlet stores. <br /> 9.
