- .. . <br /> STATE OF NORTH CARIOLINA <br /> COUNTY OF ORANGE CONTRACT FOR ABC LAW ENFORCEMENT <br /> THIS CONTRACT is entered into on this the 1st day of December , <br /> 1982, by and between the ORANGE COUNTY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL BOARD , <br /> ABC Board (hereinafter "ABC Board") and the ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S <br /> DEPARTMENT (hereinafter "Agency") for the purposes set forth below: <br /> WHEREAS, N,crth Carolina General Statute Chapter 188 requires that the <br /> ABC Board either hire an ABC law enforcement officer or contract for ABC Law <br /> enforcement with a local law enforcement agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, t1le Board is required by law to expend at least five percent (Si) <br /> of profits for ABC law enforcement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the ABC Board is of the opinion that contracting with the Agency <br /> for ABC law enforcement would constitute the most efficient use of its ABC law <br /> enforcement funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency agrees to provide ABC law enforcement in <br /> ORANGE COUNTY in return for the agreed funding; <br /> (County or Municipality) <br /> NOW, THEREARE, IT IS AGREED that <br /> 1 <br /> 1. The Ageicy shall provide ABC law enforcement in Orange County <br /> in return for the sem of $52,800.00 annually, to be paid in equal monthly payments <br /> I <br /> of $4,400.00 each month. This amount shall be adjusted as needed to equal the <br /> I <br /> amount required by North Carolina General Statute 18-8-905(e) (2) to be expended <br /> on ABC law enforcement. <br /> A. The ABC Board agrees to replace the existing cars (vehicles) with two <br /> new cars (vehicles) every three (3) years or when needed. <br /> . . <br />
