Carroll Pledger dated 7/27/82; <br /> b) Memorandum of Understanding (HOU); c)Map Phepp1 Number: 732-8181, EXT. 359 <br /> .nf the Durham Orbnni70A Arun <br /> 1 <br /> PURPOSE: To appointea representative of the Orange County Board of Commissioner') to the <br /> Transportation Advisory Committee (TAO) for the Durham Urbanized Area. <br /> Imo: As a result of the 1980 census, the Durham urbanized area was extended to include <br /> the Towns Of Chapel Hill and Carrboro and two portions of Orange County. Federal <br /> law requires an ongoing transportation planning process for urbanized areas over <br /> 50,000 pardons. Due to the census change, the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro <br /> and OrangelCounty are to be included in the process as currently specified in a <br /> 1975 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) through which was established a Transportation <br /> Advisory Committee responsible for transportation planning in the urbanized area. <br /> A TAC meeting in January 1983 will be scheduled pending appointment of a Board <br /> member. <br /> - I <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> 142111C7: Appointment of a representative of the Board to the TAC will provide for input <br /> from OrangeiCounty on transportation planning policies and decisions in the <br /> Durham urbanized area as they affect Orange County.
