92 <br /> 243 <br /> TAX RELEASE REQUEST <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> DECEMBER 6, 1982 <br /> Philip Berkowitz, President <br /> Brujest, Incorporated <br /> D/B/A Baskin—Robbins Ice Cream Store <br /> Mr. Berkowitz requests that the 1280 and 1981 tax valuations <br /> of the Corporation's business personally be reduced (by $31,238 for <br /> 1980, by $30,544 for 1981) because the 1981 tax listing for the <br /> Corporation (upon which the 1980 and 1981 tax valuations were based) <br /> was erroneous in that it showed $62,100 as the acquisition cost of <br /> equipment ($27,391) and leasehold improvements ($347 709),whereas <br /> the cost figure given for leasehold improvements actually represents <br /> that portion of the purchase price paid for the business which is <br /> attributable to good will. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Withheld pending testimony by Mr. Berkowitz <br />
