INFIA 2 <br /> AGENDA ITEM #5: Susan Smith gave a brief presentation of the proposed <br /> change to the Land Use Plan for PiedmonE Power Company. <br /> She explained that the proposed change would extend the <br /> Harmon Young (HB-4) Cremercial Transition activity node <br /> south along the right-of-way of NC 86 to encompass the <br /> Piedmont Power property. <br /> There was brief discussion concerning the proposed change. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #6; Piedmont Power Special Use Permit and Rezoning. <br /> Cannity gave a. description of the request by Piedmont <br /> Power Company for a rezoning and special use permit for <br /> a Planned Developumnt Office Institutional (PD-OT). Be <br /> meted that it was a 33.92 acre treat located on the <br /> east side of NC 86 in Hillsborough Ttnship. The property <br /> is located in a Rural Residential area as designated by <br /> the Land Use Plan. This would have to be changed to <br /> Connercial Transition Activity Node (EaritCalt Young node <br /> HB-4) as noted previously. Cannity further stated that the <br /> only concern the Planning Staff had was that the service <br /> entrance should be paved from NC 86 to the gate entering <br /> the storage yard. <br /> There was brief discussion concerning the plan and it was <br /> noted that this request would be heard at the November 22, • <br /> 1982 Public Hearing. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #7; Cornwallis Hills Phase I Rezoning <br /> Cannity presented the request by the planning staff for a <br /> rezoning from R-1 (Residential-1) to R-3 (Residential-3) <br /> on Cornwallis Hills Phase I. He stated the subdivision <br /> contained 38 lots and was located on Old NC 86 (SR 1009) <br /> in Hillsborough Thwnship. The subdivision was approved on <br /> August 17, 1981 and recorded prior to the time zoning was <br /> adopted in Hillsborough Township. When zoning was adapted, <br /> the subdivision was overlooked and received R-1 zoning <br /> instead of the appropriate R-3. <br /> Since there were no questions, it was noted that this rezoning <br /> would also be heard at the November 22, 1982 Public Hearing. <br /> AGENDA 19Th #8; Hill Country Furniture Rezoning <br /> Cannity presented the request by the planning staff for a <br /> rezoning flair R-1 (Residential-1) to EC-5 (Existing Comer- , <br /> c1a1-5) on Hill Country Furniture.
