Then a mechanism for attract- <br /> ing industry was needed. <br /> Walters noted activity nodes for rural areas <br /> do have advantages. <br /> William Dorsett indicated the Cheeks TAC <br /> did endorse the node concept for commercial <br /> uses but that the corridor was needed for <br /> industry. <br /> MOTION: Walters moved to postpone taking action on <br /> the proposed amendment to the Land Use Plan <br /> and that during the next 2-3 months a thorough <br /> study be made of alternate plans including <br /> inviting to work sessions representatives <br /> of the business community, Chamber of Commerce <br /> Town governments of Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, <br /> and Carrboro and the Cheeks Advisory Council. <br /> Shanklin seconded. <br /> Lunsford asked who is responsible for the <br /> action of inviting these individuals to <br /> our meeting? <br /> MOMMEMMEmmorr <br />
