Lindsay Efland mieed the followingmotims: MOTION 1: That the Cheeks Township AdyisoryCouncil aoprove the extension of the ten and twenty year transition areas as defined and presented by the Planning staff. No Oiccussion V6mZ: Unanimous MOTION 2: That industrial development be permitted anywhere within the I-85/US 70 4rridor and on either side of the corridor as defined by the transition area boundaries and extend as far east as the Cheeks/ pillsorough Township lines and notbelimited only to specific areas. Discussion followed on the activity node concept versus an open door concept of industrial/c=nexcial develop:eat. VOTE:.; Unanimous MOTION 3: That the Cheeks Township Advisory Council go on record, as supporting sager and water extensions into the transition areas for Cheeks Township: Lasculsion followed in which the TAC members indicated a desire to see this item included in the Land Use Plan. 1 VtYIE: Unanimous The Township Advisory Council ffEllbETS expressed concern that the available land for developmmt did not coincide with the land designated and proposed for develop- ment, stressing 16cal residents familiarity with the availability of land. Staff indicated that the Planning Board would consider the anendrrents and the TAC con-cents on Monday, September 20 and that a joint public hearing of the Planning Board and Board of County commissioners on the amendments was scheduled for September 27.
