Smith a.lso presented informaticn on the acreage and possible popul.a- <br /> tion density for these areas. <br /> General discuss*n followed the presentations covering the t nation and location <br /> of the activity rades; the availability of industrial. sites along the I 85-3.0 70 <br /> c:orri'dor; expanded residential developnent; the likLihocd.locatifen, and impact <br /> of the extens'1.fti1 of sewer and water lines along US 70; the 201 Plan for Hills- <br /> borough; the judact of recorruendatiors in the Water Resok.irces Task Force Report; <br /> and the suitabilOty of the corridor for prime industrial and commercial develop- <br /> ment. <br /> Lindsay Efland and Bi 11 Dorsett indicated that the proposed amendments to the <br /> Transition areas were more in line with the TAc's original proposal before the <br /> Land Use Plan was adopted and would afar to Ice satisfactory. <br /> The Ttranship Advisory council members expressed a concensus that the activity <br /> nee concept along the T-85/US 70 corridor was an unlikely idea and should be <br /> deleted from the Icorridor. They indicated that they envisioned that the corridor <br /> would be open for consideration either as industrial, commercial or residential. <br />
