The Plann ng Board, at its meeting on October 18, 1982, considered the <br /> proposal and thie following motion was made by Carl Walters: <br /> 1 <br /> Action should be postponed on adoption of the proposed amendment,and during <br /> the next two tcl three months a thorough study should be made of alternative plans. <br /> The Planning Board should invite 1) 2-3 members of the Cheeks Advisory Council, <br /> 2) representatiyes of the business community such as the Chapel Hill Chamber of <br /> Commerce, 3) on or more representatives of Hillsborough Town government, <br /> 4) representatiyes of utility providers and 6) representatives from Chapel Hill <br /> and Carrboro Town governments to discussions on amending the Plan. <br /> SECOND:1 David Shanklin <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> III. The Planning Staff feels the proposed amendment addresses many of the concerns <br /> of the residents about the Plan for their area and recommends approval. <br />
