PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS, Sheriff C.D. "Buck" Knight has served for over thirty years <br /> in the Sheriff's Department of Orange County; and, <br /> WHEREAS, For more than twenty-three of those thirty years he has served <br /> as Sheriff; and, <br /> WHEREAS, He announced in fall of 1981 that he would not seek re-election <br /> to that office; and, <br /> WHEREAS, The Orange County Board of Commissioners, through its Chair, and <br /> thel yors of the Towns of Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough <br /> La <br /> acting for all citizens of Orange County do hereby express their <br /> apprieciation to Sheriff Knight for his dedication to the Safety <br /> and Welfare of Orange County Citizens; and, <br /> NOW, THEREFOR , BE IT PROCLAIMED that Monday, November 29, 1982, is <br /> BUCK KNIGHT DAY IN ORANGE COUNTY <br /> This, the 1611 day of November, 1982. <br /> , /dr./ <br /> ' .4°.
