C.
Dear Joe,
The owner has occupied the new addition for the Orange County Jail
for several months and the retainage has remained at the ln% amovnt'
During the contract signing stage, it was decided that the retainage
would not be reduced when the project reached the 50% stage. However,
there was no discussion about reducing the retainage when the owner
occupied part of the building.
Since the building has been occupied by the owner, we are requesting
that the retainage be reduced to S% effective to the current application
for payment which is attached. Assuming that this request will be granted,
we are enclosing the application for payment with the 5% retainage shown.
Just in case there is a problem with approval of the S% retainage, we are
enclosing a second application with the 10% retainagc, However, we are
hoping that you will not use the application with the lO% retainage shown.
\ w il\ be happy to meet with you, the County Manager and/o, the
di this matter.Commissioners regarding » . |f you should need additional
information concerning the above, please feel free to contact me.
Yours very truly,
•
IF ' 41(
Ward L.
