Is this not a function <br /> to 64 assumed by the Senior Citizens Board?: VIIT there be <br /> adequlete training. of people- performing inspections? <br /> rn response, r agree with the Task Force Report, (Attachment <br /> that there is, a need for such a working committee to <br /> recr-utt volunteers , promote awareness and assist OSS with <br /> maintaining the Domiciliary Home Bill of Rights. These <br /> weekly and daily activities are beyond the scope and time <br /> of meMbers of the .Orange County Senior Citizens Board. The <br /> Senior Citizens Board fi viewed as an umbrella organization <br /> to consider a variety of aging Issues and make recommenda- <br /> tions: Training will be provided by the N.C. Division of <br /> Aging-:. <br /> However, to better coordinate the special interest com- <br /> mittees (established and proposed) and reduce the workload <br /> of Commissioners, t would like to recommend that the County <br /> Commissioners support the following committee structure. <br /> Specifically, the Senior Citizens Hoard would be designated. <br /> the- umbrella aging organization and would be empowered with <br /> three tasks for Commissioner-appointed aging committees: <br /> (I) review and make recommendations on nominees to be <br /> considered for Commissioner-appointed committees , <br /> i.e. , Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee, <br /> Domiciliary Home Advisory Committee, and others <br /> they see fit; <br /> (2.:) monitor activities of committees on behalf of <br /> • <br />
