(Attachment . <br /> y <br /> Membershio Composition _ <br /> The Committee, a pointed by the County Commissioners , wilt becom-' <br /> posed of at leas nine (9) members selected for three-year staggere. <br /> terms , with one-third of the membership chosen from nominees of <br /> Domiciliary Home Operators . Members must be residents of Orange <br /> County without financial interest in a home served by the Committee <br /> nor an immediate family member of a resident. Members should be <br /> selected based op varying backgrounds , geographical l ocatiorr, in- <br /> terest and time Ecommi•tment.. Any, County Commissioner appointed to <br /> the committee wwilfti serve in an ex officio capacity. <br /> Specs flfc Roles• and Responsibilities of Committee <br /> l . Serve ail. domi cillta:ry homes in the County.. <br /> Z. Promote comnity education and awareness of the needs af <br /> residents and work to keep the public informed about aspects of Ion.. <br /> term cote and the operation of domiciliary homes _ <br /> 3. Develop and recru.rt volunteer resources to enhance the quality <br /> . of life far domiciliary home residents. <br /> 4.. Establish lirrka-ges with domiciliary home administrators and the <br /> county Department of 'Social Services for the purpose of maintaining <br /> the spirit of th.e. BiTi of Rights Law. _ <br /> 5. Identify alleged violations of the Residents Rights (131C-52/ <br /> and report and discuss them to the home administrator or supervisor <br /> in charge. i <br /> 5,. Report alTeaed violations to. the County Department of Social <br /> Services for in'esttgating and resolving substantiated vitiations . <br /> 7 . Make an annual written report to the Board of County Commissioners <br /> with an appraisal of domiciliary facilities, and identifying issues <br /> effecting long term care in general .. <br /> S. Attend training provided by the N.C. Division of Aging or. Count. <br /> Staff. .. <br /> 9 Establish o.Rerational procedures for the committee , which would <br /> include at least a schedule for visitations and committee, activity <br /> reports, and other relations with the County Department of Social <br /> Services ... <br />
