<br /> During discussion the Manager told the Board that the department head had
<br /> wanted a 38 cu. yd. body but that the difference in the price was so much that he

<br /> was recommending a 35 cu. yd. body truck. Since specifications were for a 38 cu. yd.
<br /> • body, the Board was concerned that some company may not have submitted a bid for a
<br /> • truck with a 35 cu. yd. body but would have if it had been aware that this range
<br /> •
<br /> was acceptable, Both the motion and second were withdrawn and the Purchasing Officer
<br /> was asked to take the front end loading truck to bid again.
<br /> Commissioner Willhoit told the Manager that due to some recent reorganization
<br /> • in Carrboro, there may be an extra vehicle available there.
