No. <br /> A[r±Oq walJaSP1-uzr ----� <br /> NEE cDzE OCTOBER 25, lR82L__- . <br /> ' <br /> Subjeo--: PROCLAMATION--CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK--NOV. 15-2I <br /> Pub]-ic Hearing: <br /> Contact, Clerk to the Board <br /> Phone Ntnber: 732-8181 ext. 510 <br /> ' <br /> PURPOSE: To Proclaim the week of November 15-21, 1982, CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK, IN ORANGE <br /> COUNTY. <br /> To emphasize the importance of reading in our ch{ldren's livet and to <br /> encourage patronage of our library system by our children. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County has a library program that encourages <br /> patronage by children; and, <br /> WHEREAS, our children have available through public and school <br /> libraries quality materials that enrich a child's life; and, <br /> WHEREAS, these materials used early in u child's life begin u reading <br /> foundation that remains throughout a lifetime; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Children's Book Week annually renews this important <br /> emphasis on books and reading; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Orange County Board of Commissioners does <br /> hereby proclaim the week of November 15-2I, 1982 <br /> CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK <br /> in Orange County and encourages participation by all citizens. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Proclaim the week of November 15-21, 1982, Children's Book Week <br /> in Orange County. <br />
