Reeve <br /> Contract ..:. - Phone : 732-8181-ext..-375 _., ._ • _. <br /> PURPOSE: To cons der acceptance of an additional Land Record Management grant. <br /> NEED: The Land Records Management Program Grant fund provides assistance to <br /> counties for the improvement of their land. records system, specifically <br /> in the provision of automated equipment. Orange County will use its <br /> grant Binds to enhance- computer accessibility to citizens and staff <br /> using the Land Records System. <br /> Since 1978 Orange County has participated in the Land Records Management: <br /> Program' using-State funds .. <br /> to match budgeted local funds for the improve- <br /> ment ofiland records keeping in the County. Each year the Board of <br /> Commissioners must sign an agreement to continue its participation, and <br /> - to receve funds. <br /> A specific program for using the funds would be presented to the Board <br /> for approval prior tv any expenditures. <br /> • <br /> IMPACT: Under t e 1982-83 grant Orange County would receive $4,219. Due to <br /> previously purchased equipment coming in below bid, sufficient funds <br /> are available in the Data Processing Capital Outlay account (10-550-74) <br /> to match the grant. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): <br /> That the Board authorize Chairman to sign the agreement with the State <br /> of North Carolina, Department of Administration. <br /> • <br />
