— - <br /> 5.3 Direct intensive land uses to existing Urban areas and areas <br /> deSignated Transition areas and away from areas which are <br /> suitable'foontinued agricultural uses and/or which'are <br /> protected as water supply watersheds. <br /> 5.5 Designate land in areas changing from rural to urban in chaiiC:-. <br /> ter which could reasonably be developed to accomodate urball-type <br /> densities, bUt are currently not completely served by urbe.rr - <br /> systems such as water and sewer lines, as Transition areas : - <br /> These, areas will be further classified into 10-Year and 20-Year- <br /> Transition areas to reflect the most appropriate sequence of <br /> development as this area changes from rural to urban and services <br /> are extneded. - <br /> GOAL EIGHT: Adeqba:bed,reasonably priced safe housing in an appropriat <br /> variety of types in: proximity to jobs and daily activities for all <br /> citizens. <br /> 8.1 Encourage the construction and rehabilitation of a diverse <br /> range of housing types in response to the needs of various <br /> household sizes and incomes. <br /> 8.3 Encourage the provision of a range of affordable and suitable <br /> low-income housing by means of development incentives in order- <br /> to provide a balanced housing stock for the residents of Orange <br /> County. <br /> 8.7 Support the use of individual mobile homes as a useful housing <br /> resource in the County by affording these homes the same <br /> locational opportunities as single-family units meeting the <br /> State Building Code. <br /> 8_10 Discourage medium and higher density residential development <br /> in the rural areas of the County. <br /> GOAL NINE: The provision of water and sewer lines in those areas <br /> which can be practically and efficiently served by these facilities. <br /> 9.1 Develop and implement a cooperative join planning process <br /> among the Countyimunicipalities and those organizations re- <br /> sponsible for water and sewer lines to guide the extension of <br /> lines in accordance with the land use plans and policies of <br /> the affected jurisdictions. <br /> GOAL ELEVEN: Adequate and appropriate sewer disposal facilities for <br /> all current and future residents. <br />
