.,� <br /> 1� <br /> ���, <br /> ~ � r <br /> _ � <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> OF <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> * P R O C L A M A T I O N * <br /> WHEREAS, Orarte County recognizes the contribution made by local, <br /> private, non-profit, human service organizations to the health and welfare <br /> of its citizens; and <br /> WHEREAS, the United Way and United Fund have contributed to the <br /> financial support of these organizations by making direct cash contribu- <br /> tions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the United Way and United Fund, in their capacities as <br /> fund raising clearinghouses, contribute indirectly to these organizations <br /> by eliminating the need and expense for each organization to mount its own <br /> individual fund drive; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County recognizes that as public dollars become <br /> more scarce, organizations like the United Way and United Fund contribute <br /> to the maintenance of those services that protect the public health and <br /> welfare; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, we proclaim October 26, 1982 to October 29, 1982: <br /> UNITED WAY AND UNITED FUND WEEK <br /> and encourage all citizens to contribute to these organizations to the <br /> benefit of all citizens of Orange County. <br /> WITNESS our hand and official seal this 4th day of October, 1982. <br /> ‘` ' <br /> ORAN COD BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS�_ <br /> »r ' �� ��" <br /> ; `'� ' ' , <br /> .
