Whitted, and Commissioners
, Norman Guotavesnn, Shirley E. Marshall, Norman Walker and Don Nillhoit,
Chairman Whitted said the Board would hold the Joint Public Hearing
with the Orange County Planning Board prior to the other items|on the agenda.
Orange County Planning Board Members present: Pat Crawford, Chair, and
Tom Bacon, Sally Boericke, Logan Irvin, John Kizer, Sharlene Pilkey, David Shanklin,
Carl Walters and John Wilson.
According to procedure, Ms. Crawford chaired the joint public hearing.
I. He continued that a berm or canal had not been consid-
ered as the problem did not exist.
Mr. Irvin asked if consideration had been given to the concept of an industrial
park for development rather than the "node" concept which would include a general
aviation a:rport.
Mr. Luce said such a concept had not been specifically examined; however, an
industrial park would have to have water and sewer available to it and such ser-
vices don't presently exist. He added that such a park would be located very near
