Specifically, <br /> the person would bring to the job: <br /> --Over 12 years of experience in the planning field; <br /> --Ten of the twelve years have been in a supervisory capacity; <br /> --Knowledgeable of all functions of the planning department and <br /> has performed most jobs; <br /> --Well versed in the laws and regulations affecting planning and <br /> inspections; <br /> --Good oral and written communication skills; <br /> --Has established and maintained good working relationships with <br /> staff, other departments and the public; <br /> --Well respected by others in the planning field. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the hiring of Mr. Collins at Salary Grade 77 Step 4B. <br />
