I appeal to tbAs Beard ., <br /> of Commissioners to correct a zoning error made, concerning my <br /> business operation on Hwy 57 about I mile Nerth of Hillsborough. <br /> My father and I started the business in 199L with two pieces of <br /> equipment, and have boon at this location for 20 years. Tho <br /> business now has 20 pieces of equipment and nine families <br /> earning their living through this business. The property has <br /> four shop buildings. One shop was built in 1962. The second <br /> 1;as built in 197L and the other two were built in 1981 . <br /> When zoning went into offset our property was incorrectly <br /> zoned residential. <br /> The Planning Department has recomgended a 300' x 500 lot be <br /> zoned commercial. It would be difficult if not impossible <br /> for these nine families to continue to earn a living from this <br /> business if we are rrstricted to this small area. We need for <br /> the full 933 x364' lot to be zoned commercial. Space is <br /> needed for equipment, gravel, pipe, dirt, etc. <br /> I would also point out that all residents within 500' of this <br /> property moved in after this business was started. All adjoining <br /> property owners were properly notified of the requested <br /> correction in the zoning and the date of the public hearing. <br /> No one appeared to protest the Commercial Zoning. <br /> I have already had to pay $210.00 to meet with the Planning <br /> Board and have spent many hours with Alois Cellemyn and the <br /> • Planning Department to correct the Planning Departments zoning <br /> error. Hours that I needed to be devoting to my Business., <br /> • <br /> I appeal to this Hoard of Commissioners- to take Corrective <br /> Action as soon as possible to zone my property Commercial, <br /> the full 933' x 364' lot, where the nine family business is <br /> located. <br /> cannot afford to loose more time or incurr further expenses <br /> in this matter. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> . . <br /> Paul L.
