The applicable goals and policies <br /> are as follows: <br /> Goal Policy <br /> Goal Five The management of growth so that it is directed to <br /> areas where growth is desireable and can be accomo- <br /> dated. <br /> 5..11 Designate activity nodes of various types and func- <br /> tions at the intersections of major arterials and <br /> for collectors in order to accomodate different in- <br /> tensity levels of commercial and industrial develop- <br /> ment. These nodes include both existing and proposed <br /> nodes. New activity nodes will be located using the <br /> locational criteria specified in Policy 5.1, in re- <br /> sponse to proposed development activity. <br /> 5.12 Utilize activity nodes to promote clustered de,. <br /> ment and to descourage strip development. <br /> 5.13 Identify activity nodes as the only places approp- <br /> riate for non-farm related commercial and Indus- <br /> tial development. <br /> 5.16 Designate Rural Community, Rural Industrial and Rural <br /> Neighborhood activity nodes in Rural Residential and <br /> Agricultural Residential areas. <br /> 5.17 Designate land focused on designated road intersec- <br /> tions within Rural Residential or Rural Agricultural <br /> Areas that is appropriate for industrial activities <br /> and which has good access as Rural Industrial activity <br /> nodes, <br /> Goal Six The promotion of economic development which empha- <br /> sizes employment meeting local needs while preserv- <br /> ing the character of communities and protecting the <br /> natural environment. <br /> 6.1 Provide for a sufficient amount of suitable land to <br /> accomodate the expansion and growth -of commercial <br /> and industrial uses in the County. <br /> 6.9 The following Rural Neighborhood Activity Nodes <br /> have been designated, . . . . <br /> Law's Store (EN0-1) . . . . <br /> 6.11 Adequate and appropriate sewage disposal facilities <br /> for all current and future residents. <br /> 6.12 An efficient and balanced transportation system. <br /> . . <br />
