Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, O. <br /> The Boards took a short break and resumed discussions with all members pre- <br /> sent as noted earlier. <br /> REZONING REQUEST FROM FRED CATES AND ELIZABETH CATES (From Residential-1 <br /> to Residential-8) <br /> Ms. Crawford chaired the remainder of the public hearing. <br /> Mr. Rick Cannity made the presentation for the Planning Department, giving <br /> the site location, description. He noted the intent of the provision of districts <br /> in the Zoning Ordinance. He said that this rezoning request was in conformance <br /> with the Land Use Plan but said there would be adverse effects if rezoned to R-8. <br /> Mr. Cannity listed the areas that were not provided for by a rezoning: fire pro- <br /> tection, recreational facitilites; b»lding setbacks, pedestrian circulation, inter- <br /> ior circulation, central services, parking and an overall plan of development <br /> which would assure adequate services and access to the remainder of the tract. <br /> Mr. Cannity said the Staff recommends denial of the rezoning. <br /> Mr. John McAdams, Engineer for John and Faizabeth Cates, addressed the <br /> • Boards. Mr. McAdams said this request was to rezone four acres adjacent to <br /> the existing Cates Farm; he added that this development had been "caught" during <br /> 1 <br />
