Such assurance must be attained without <br /> a commitment of the University to move to such a facility. The <br /> University cannot place itself in a positionofbeing the first <br /> to move to a new airport and, in fact, the University would <br /> need to seek the funding that would be required to make such a <br /> move. <br /> The University is encouraged by the proposal for the new Midway <br /> Airport as representing the first indication of a move to establish <br /> an acceptable alternative airport facility for southern Orange <br /> County. This facility has the potential for meeting the needs of <br /> the University; and therefore, the University would recommend <br /> careful consideration of this proposal. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> John L.
