K-i ttrel 1 <br /> Phone Natbarr Ext. 427 <br /> Purpose: Adopt resolution authorizing the filing of the County's Fiscal Year <br /> 1982 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application. <br /> Need- During the spring of 1982, the State of North Carolina assumed administrative <br /> responsibility for the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program., <br /> The Department of Natural Resources and Community Development (NRCD) is <br /> responsible for the program.: NRCD regulations, require that local governing <br /> bodies pass an official resolution authorizing the filing of CDBG applications. <br /> The County is applying for its final installment ($938,000) which was <br /> previously approved and committed by HUD in July 1980. The third program year <br /> 'activities are: Acquisition of Real Property, Parks, Playgrounds and Other <br /> Recreational Facilities, Clearance of Diplapidated Structures, Relocation <br /> Payments and Assistance, and Rehabilitation of Private Properties. <br /> iulPactzAdoption will enable the County to apply for committed CDBG funds. <br /> Pecornwnlation(s) .
