Thompson <br /> Na N No <br /> S)- 0 <br /> Phone 732-8181 e <br /> PURPOSE To consider reappointment and establishment of term of office of the <br /> Orange County Tax Collector. <br /> The current term of the Orange County Tax Collector expires July 7, 1982. <br /> Per G.S. 105-349(a) of the State of North Carolina the Tax Collector is <br /> appointed and reappointed by action of the Board and the length of that <br /> appointment is established by the Board. <br /> In order to facilitate future action the Board might want to consider <br /> setting the term of Tax Collector for one year to expire on July 7, 1983, <br /> and thereafter be set for two years so as to coincide with the expiration <br /> of the Tax Supervisor's term of office. <br /> EAPACT: <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) <br /> As the Board decides. <br />
