,.; <br /> 18 <br /> ) <br /> tl <br /> RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT AND TO JOIN THE <br /> NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> JOINT RISK MANAGEMENT AGENCY WORKERS' COMPENSATION FUND <br /> WHEREAS, Orange County is required to provide payment of workers' <br /> compensation claims of employees; and <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners <br /> Joint Risk Management Agency has been established by counties pursuant <br /> to G.S. 153A-445 (a) (1) and G.S. 160A-460 through 160A-464; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable for Orange County to join the North Car- <br /> olina Association of County Commissioners Joint Risk Management Agency <br /> and participate in its workers' compensation fund in order to provide <br /> a method of risk sharing for workers' compensation claims of its em- <br /> ployees; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners <br /> of Orange County hereby adopts the interlocal agreement entitled "Inter- <br /> local Agreement for a Group Self-Insurance Fund for Workers' Compensation <br /> Risk Sharing", and thereby joins and agrees to participate in the North <br /> Carolina Association of County Commissioners Joint Risk Management Agency <br /> which has been formed to create a group fund to pay and service the workers' <br /> compensation claims of the employees of the counties and other local agencies <br /> joining the Agency. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Manager is authorized to ex- <br /> ecute the application to join the North Carolina Association of County Com- <br /> missioners Joint Risk Management Agency. <br /> This the 15th. day of June, 1982. <br /> -• <br /> • lerk <br /> 1-0 ,/ <br /> .001111 /' <br /> cc: OACC, P.O.
