MINUTES 03' <br /> JUNE 15, 1982 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br /> Tuesday, June 15, 1982, at 7:30 P.M. in the Commissioners' Room, Orange <br /> County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> Commissioners present: Chairman Richard E. Whitted, and Commissioners <br /> Norman Gustaveson, Shirley E. Marshall, Norman Walker (who arrived at 7:44 P.M.) <br /> and Don Nillhoit, <br /> A. Board Comments <br /> Commissioner Whitted said the following items were added to the agenda: <br /> Commission on Women appointments; CETA Youth Employment; word and date pro- <br /> cession to the budget work session; and, discussion of the landfill. <br /> B. Audience Comments <br /> There were no members of the audience who desired to comment about <br /> matters that were not on the printed agenda; there were several audience mem- <br /> bers who were present to comment about matters scheduled on the agenda. <br /> C. Public Hearin"—Oak Hill Preliminary Assess- <br /> ment Ro 1 SR 1835 <br /> Ms. Susan Smith, Planning Department, told the Board the administrative <br /> costs for this project had been recalculated resulting in reduced costs for <br /> that service in the Oak Hill Participatory Paving Project. <br /> Mr. Milton Skolaut, a resident of Oak Hill Road, told the Board he <br /> was in favor of the paving project and everyone he had talked with had favor- <br /> able things to say about it. <br /> With no others who wished to speak, Chairman Whitted pronounced this <br /> public hearing closed. <br /> D. BOARD DECISIONS <br /> 1. Oak Hill Assessment Roll: Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded <br /> by Commissioner Willhoit, to approve the Assessment Roll for the Oak Hill <br /> Participatory Paving Project at 7:40 P.M. and to direct it be delivered to <br /> the Tax Collector for payment and to accept the Certificate of Mailing filed <br /> by the Clerk to the Board. Vote: Ayes, 4; noes, 0 (Commissioner Walker did <br /> not arrive in time for this vote). <br />
