Secrist <br /> (2) Mr. 'Searist's reply P .MneNt.rober: - 732-8181 eict.503 - <br /> • <br /> (3) Copy of amended agreement <br /> PURPOSE: <br /> To obtain Board approval of the amendments to the CDBG agreement <br /> for partial renovation to the Northside Multipurpose Center for <br /> Senior Citizen activities. <br /> /MED: <br /> The County entered into a December 1, 1980, agreement with the Town <br /> of Chapel Hill to partially renovate the Senior Citizens Center at <br /> Northside under a CDBG grant the Town had received. Once the <br /> County completed the work the Town was to reimburse the County <br /> for the work performed ($16,000) . <br /> The Town withheld payment because: 1) the County did not notify <br /> the Town of alterations to the agreed upon work tasks; and, 2) <br /> the County did not make monthly progress reports as required. <br /> The amended agreement represents a revised understanding that is <br /> acceptable to both entities and will permit reimbursement. <br /> IMPACT: Approving the amended agreement will release the $16,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Approve the agreement as amended and empower the <br /> Chairman to sign. <br />
