Kizer seconded. <br /> Carried unanimously. <br /> Reccumendation t6 <br /> Orange County should promote efforts to conserve water. <br /> Kizer moved approval of the recmmendation. Laszlo seconded. <br /> Carried unanimously. <br /> Recommndation #7 <br /> Adoption of a land use plan Which identifies protected <br /> watersheds. <br /> Luce explained that these watersheds were Shown on the Land <br /> Use Plan which was approved by the Planning%Board and adopted <br /> A III _ by the County Commissioners and no further action was needed <br /> fron this Board on this recarnendation. <br /> Recomendation 48 <br /> Orange County should adopt a Land Use Plan Which preserves and <br /> enhances water quality in protected watersheds. <br /> Luce painted out that the adopted Land Use Plan approved by the <br /> Board incorporates this reccnrchendation with the exception of <br /> MCGowan Creek, watershed areas in the Plan are low density <br /> residential areas with little or no commercial or industrial <br /> areas. <br /> Kizer motioned that the reccarrendation be approved with the <br /> addition of either the watershed for sites 17 or 18 added as <br /> a protected watershed. Irvin seconded. Ayes: Kizer, Gordon, <br /> Cleary, Bacon, Wilson, Irvin. Noes: None: <br /> Recainendation #9 <br /> Driplemantatian of protection measures by Carrboro, Alamence <br /> County, Hillsborough and Chatham County. <br /> IIIGordon motioned to accept the recoatrendation with a change in <br /> the wording from "should incorporate" to "should be encxxiraged <br /> to incoroorate". Irvin seconded. Ayes: Kizer, Gordon, Harris, <br /> -... . <br /> Wilson, Laszlo. Noes: Cleary, Lunsfard. Abstention: Bacon. <br />
