Subcommittees make <br /> quarterly visits to assisted living facilities and annual visits to family care/group homes. <br /> Issue specific subcommittees meet on an ad hoc basis. <br /> Brief Statement of Board/Commission's Assigned Charge and Responsibilities. <br /> This group's charges and responsibilities include to: <br /> • Stay informed about living conditions for residents of long term care (LTC) adult <br /> care homes (ACH) and family care homes (FCH). <br /> • Make official unannounced quarterly visits to each ACH in county, and <br /> unannounced annual visits to FCHs in the county (there are 6 ACHs and 6 FCHs <br /> in the county). <br /> • Prepare and submit official reports on visits to ACHs and FCHs as required by <br /> the NC Division of Aging & Adult Services. These reports summarize findings of <br /> visits to facilities and homes and point to concerns about care. <br /> • Advise the County Department of Aging and the Triangle J Ombudsperson about <br /> programs they devise to help improve care for residents in ACHs and FCHs and <br />
