We had a record number (1,200) of responses to the survey, <br /> nearly a dozen focus groups in multiple languages and extensive community <br /> involvement in the development of the 3 shared priorities between the Board of <br /> Health and the Healthy Carolinians of Orange. These priorities are: 1) Social <br /> Determinants of Health; 2) Physical Activity and Nutrition and 3) Mental Health <br /> and Substance Abuse. <br /> By Priority (previous Strategic Plan priorities): <br /> Substance Abuse and Mental Health <br /> • Syringe Exchange in both HD locations <br /> • Completed mental health gap analyses—criminal justice system and for <br /> children and youth age 0-25 <br /> • Successful launch of integrated behavioral health services in HD clinics <br /> • Evaluations show continued improvement in percent of OC residents who <br /> know about the Smoke Free Public Places Rule. <br /> Childhood and Family Obesity <br /> • Partnering with UNC Health Promotion and Disease Prevention to pilot <br /> online GO NAP SACC tool in OC <br /> • Founding partner of No Kid Hungry NC <br /> • Participating with UNC's Food for All campus theme <br /> Access to Care <br /> • Celebrated 2nd anniversary of the Family Success Alliance <br /> o 1 additional Navigator hired (5 total) <br />
