We have been the Designated County Partner (DCP) of the North Carolina Arts Council <br /> in Orange County since 1985 and are responsible for sub-granting state and county funds to arts <br /> organizations, schools and artists throughout the county. <br /> it <br /> What are your Board/Commission's most important accomplishments? <br /> • The designation of state and county funds through two cycles of arts grants each year. <br /> • Hosted three Artist Salons for local artists <br /> • Served as ambassadors and panelists for the Emerging Artist Program, the Annual Piedmont Laureate <br /> Program, and the 4th US Congressional District High School Art Competition <br /> • Initiated a new public art project to be constructed Spring, 2017, at Orange County Animal Services <br /> • Served as lead agency for Orange County in the participation of Americans for the Arts' Arts and Economic <br /> Prosperity Survey V <br /> List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored Annually. <br /> • Two Grant Cycles (Spring & Fall) annually that fund artists, schools & nonprofit organizations utilizing state <br /> & county funds <br /> • Annual Emerging Artists Program through a partnership with the Durham Arts Council <br /> • Annual Piedmont Laureate Program through a partnership with the Durham Arts Council, the <br />
