24 <br /> What are your Board/Commission's most important accomplishments? <br /> Accomplishments for 2016 included: <br /> • Focus on educating and advocating for the affordable housing bond <br /> • Support and input on the County's Affordable Housing Strategic Plan <br /> • Consolidated Plan Annual Plan Update <br /> • Speaker Presentations and Community Dialogues to address affordable <br /> housing concerns and options that will help to increase the supply and <br /> meet a range of needs. Speakers included the Corey Root, Orange <br /> County Homeless Program Coordinator (August 9, 2016 meeting) and <br /> Ashley Moncado, Orange County Planning Department (October 11, 2016 <br /> meeting). <br /> • Sponsored Fall Affordable Housing Tour, September 10th with two <br /> members of the BOCC and three members of the Orange County Housing <br /> Authority. <br /> • Review and Scoring of Outside Agency Applications <br /> List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored <br /> Annually. <br /> • Review and provide input on the Consolidated Plan Annual Plan Update <br /> and Performance Report/Calendar <br /> • Monitor the Affordable Housing Bond Program <br /> • Conduct an Affordable Housing Tour <br /> • Review outside funding requests/applications from organizations providing <br /> housing services <br /> • Educating the community on affordable housing needs, trends and <br /> resources and related partnerships with the towns, public agencies, <br /> nonprofits, civic and for profit organizations <br /> Describe this board/commission's activities/accomplishments in carrying <br /> out BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br /> The AHAB advises on and supports BOCC affordable housing initiatives, goals <br /> and priorities and conducts community outreach to obtain and share resident <br /> concerns, comments and ideas for increasing the supply and preserving the <br /> existing stock of affordable housing to meet the broad range of needs throughout <br /> the County. The tasks, activities and events described above supports the <br /> BOCC's Goal 1 and affordable housing priorities: <br /> Goal 1: Ensure a community network of basic human services and infrastructure <br /> that maintains, protects and promotes the well-being of all County residents. <br /> Ii <br />
