111 <br /> Class A special use permits and provide recommendations to the BOCC <br /> • Develop and recommend policies, ordinances, administrative procedures and <br /> other means for carrying out plans <br /> • Coordinate with staff on ongoing planning updates, changes, and new <br /> techniques <br /> Describe this board/commission's activities/accomplishments in carrying <br /> out BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br /> The Planning Board is involved in the ongoing implementation of the 2030 <br /> Comprehensive Plan. Potential projects listed in the "UDO Implementation <br /> Bridge," continue to be worked on as do small area plan implementation <br /> measures. The Implementation Bridge is a list of topics that were raised during <br /> the UDO adoption process in 2010-11 that further the goals and objectives of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan through the UDO. <br /> Describe the collaboration relationship(s) this particular board has with <br /> other advisory boards and commissions? <br /> Currently, the Planning Board includes a member who also serves the <br /> Commission for the Environment. There is a position on the Board of Adjustment <br /> for a Planning Board member but that position is currently unfilled. Three <br /> members of the Planning Board have expressed interest in serving on the Board <br /> of Adjustment and discussion over who could better serve in the position has <br /> occurred. In 2016, there was not direct collaboration with other advisory board <br /> (e.g., joint meetings). <br /> If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory <br /> Board involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, <br /> please indicate your board's activities/accomplishments as they may relate <br /> to the Comprehensive Plan's goals or objectives. <br /> (The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, <br /> OUTBoard, Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation <br /> Commission, Agriculture Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, <br /> Recreation and Parks Advisory Council) <br /> The processing of small area plan recommendations specifically addresses an <br /> objective included in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Following are specific <br /> Comprehensive Plan Goals and Objectives that have been part of the Planning <br /> Board's recent work: is <br /> Land Use Overarching Goal: Coordination of the amount, location, <br /> pattern and designation of future land uses, with availability of County <br /> services and facilities sufficient to meet the needs of Orange County's <br />
