She formerly was on the board
for Toastmasters International, is on several local non-profit boards(Big Brothers and Sisters of NC to name
one)and is a talk show host on WCHL radio. She is a charming person with lots of great contacts and
energy. I think she would be a tremendous addition to the board."
Ms. Sharon Hill's application warrants her consideration for appointment by the BOCC.
(3) Core Business Sector Nominees: Mr. Keith Coleman
Mr. Keith Coleman, former owner&editor of the News of Orange newspaper, has maintained his
application to join the Orange County Economic Development advisory board for several years. He is a
resident of Hillsborough, his spouse is an employee of the Orange County school system, and he offers our
advisory board representation for the northern part of the County.
Among the other remaining applicants, our Department's alternate nominee is Ms. Margaret(Peggy)
Brady, who is a local banker with BB&T Bank. She is a new applicant and is recommended by our current
advisory board member John Anderson (Chapel Hill banker with Wells Fargo. Ms. Brady works in the
County but I understand she is not an Orange County resident.
Sincerely,
Steve Brantley Vevelopment Director, Orange County Econo
