A split-interest <br /> agreement is a type of giving agreement used by donors to provide resources to two or more beneficiaries, <br /> often through trusts. Applicable for June 30, 2018. <br /> GASB Statement No. 82, Pension Issues, an amendment of GASB 67, 68, and 73, amends the pension <br /> standards to address the presentation of payroll-related measures, the selection of actuarial assumptions, and <br /> the classification of payments made by employers to satisfy employee contribution requirements. Applicable <br /> for June 30, 2018. <br /> GASB Statement No. 83, Certain Asset Retirement Obligations, requires the accrual of an estimate for any <br /> legally enforceable future liability associated with the retirement of a capital asset (i.e. decommissioning a <br /> sewer treatment plant) and to report the expenses over the life of the associated capital asset. Applicable for <br /> June 30, 2019. <br /> GASB Statement No. 84, Fiduciary Activities, will require the County to revisit its fiduciary funds with a focus <br /> on (1) whether the County is controlling the assets of the fiduciary activity and (2) the beneficiaries with whom <br /> the fiduciary relationship exists. All fiduciary funds will require a statement of changes in fiduciary net position. <br /> Applicable for June 30, 2020. <br />
