The Board also approved the use of $5,000
from its Contingency Fund to finance Orange County's
share of the project cost.
A professional services agreement for preparation of
the master plan has been drafted by the Durham City-
County Planning Department. The agreement addresses the
following points:
1 . Scope of Work;
2 . Responsibility of the Consultant;
3. Responsibilities of the Local Governments;
4. Time Schedule; and
5. Project Budget and Accounting Procedure.
Although the project is a cooperative effort involving
the City of Durham, Durham County, the Town of Chapel
Hill, and Orange County, a New Hope-Eno River Open
Space Advisory Committee would be appointed to provide
for citizen involvement in preparation of the master
plan. The Committee would be comprised of 16 members,
with four at-large representatives and three members
appointed by the Managers of each jurisdiction.
