Seconded by <br /> Yuhasz. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> MOTION: Lewis moved approval of the Planned Development, <br /> McLennan's Farm, with thirty-six conditions. <br /> Seconded by Yuhasz. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> The following statement by Planning Board Chair, <br /> Jacobs, immediately after the vote on McLennan's <br /> Farm. <br /> "I suspect this vote will be surprising to some <br /> people. I also suspect Commissioners may have <br /> some questions of the Planning Board and I frankly <br /> did not know how I was going to vote until I sat <br /> here tonight and listened to everything. But I <br /> feel that no particular case has been made that <br /> this Planned Development does not meet the <br /> requirements of Orange County. <br /> "While there may be other concerns regarding <br /> density, impervious surface, and questions about <br /> these kinds of systems, as far as Orange County's <br /> ordinances are concerned, I don't see that anyone <br /> has made an adequate case that they are not being <br /> met. <br /> "If the Commissioners or the other jurisdictions <br /> with which the Commissioners are in contact <br /> regarding the watershed wish to adopt a higher <br /> level of protection or a more cautious approach, I <br /> would suggest that they take some kind of policy <br /> action that would not put us in the position of <br /> having to make decisions based on the ordinances <br /> which we're supposedly here to uphold. <br /> "I know Carrboro has adopted a moratorium on <br /> developments larger than four units in University <br /> Lake Watershed. Orange County has no such <br /> moratorium in any watershed. If Orange County has <br />
