LUP-9-89 LAND USE ELEMENT AMENDMENT Z-5-89 ZONING ATLAS AMENDMENT (Designation of <br /> PW-II Watershed Overlay - Upper Eno Watershed) <br /> This item is to consider an amendment to the Zoning Atlas to add a portion of the <br /> southeast corner of the Upper Eno Watershed to the PW-II Protected Watershed Overlay - <br /> District and delineate the complete boundary of the Upper Eno watershed on the Land use <br /> Element. Approximately 238 parcels are affected by the proposed changes. A map showing <br /> these parcels is in the permanent agenda file in the Clerk's Office. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br /> approve this amendment to the Land Use Element and Zoning Atlas as stated above. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 13. LUP-8-89. TEXT AMENDMENTS 12 LAND USE ELEMENT <br /> The Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan was adopted by the Orange County <br /> Board of Commissioners on September 2, 1981. Since that time, a number of amendments have <br /> been approved to both the Land Use Plan Maps and to the text of the individual Township <br /> Components of the Land Use Elements. A number of sections in the document dealing with the <br /> County as a whole have not been updated during the past eight years. This amendment would <br /> update the following sections: <br /> SECTION 2.0. COUNTY-WIDE PROFILE - Ibis section contains subsections dealing with <br /> issues such as natural environment, water resources, and population projections that <br /> have changed considerably since the'1981 writing. <br /> SECTION 3.0-3.5, LAND USE PLAN -. Only those sections that are in need of revision due <br /> to changed conditions are dealt with. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Chairman Carey to approve the <br /> proposed amendment as stated above. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 14. PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS, (Article 12-Landscaping and Screening <br /> Requirements) (Article 7.20.4J - Landscaping and Screening, Mobile Home Parks) - <br /> Article 12 establishes landscaping and screening requirements that apply during <br /> site plan review. Site plans are required for Special Use Permits, including <br /> planned developments, for churches, and for building permits on non-residential <br /> lots. The proposed amendments to Article 12 will make the landscape and buffer <br /> requirements in each ordinance essentially: the same. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br /> approve the Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments to Article 12 Landscaping and Screening <br /> requirements as recommended by the Planning Board and the Administration. <br /> VOTE:.
