Homewood has 6 homesites.
b. preserves and protects significant natural areas
through deed restrictions and special design features.
Specifically, Homewood creates 5.5 acres of
greenspace, owned by the Homeowners Association,
8/10 acre of land use buffer and an additiona11 . 75
acre of stream buffering.
2) A private road will cut the minimum number of trees
and disturb the least amount of soil. This approach
is the most sensitive to the ecological concerns
raised at the Planning Board meeting.
3) Subsequent to the Planning Board approval of the
Homewood plan, staff has indicated legal and administra-
tive reservations regarding any plan which mixes types
of roads, i.e. a mix of public and private roads in
one subdivision.
•
While it is clear that the developer, Mike Adair, is willing
to build a public N.C. DOT standard road, he feels that a
private road can be built which—will properly serve the
Homewood Homeowners. He has agreed to fund the Homewood
Homeowners' Association $10,000 for on-going maintenance.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
• /9-16, -?-
Mark N.
