It is known as lots 9A, 11, and 17 of <br /> Block A of Tax Map 31 of Cheeks Township. The property <br /> contains approximately 7 acres or 308,601 square feet. <br /> The current zoning of the property is R-1 - Rural <br /> Residential (40,000 square foot minimum lot size) . The current zoning of the property is R-1 Rural <br /> Residential. <br /> The applicant is requesting approval of a Class A Special <br /> Use Permit to allow the operation of a bed and breakfast <br /> • inn in a log house known as the Paisley-Rice Log House. <br /> The house is listed on the National Register of Historic <br /> Places and would accommodate a maximum number of four <br /> guests per stay. <br /> EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS <br /> The proposed amendments to the Orange County Erosion <br /> Control Ordinance affect SECTION 18. EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION <br /> CONTROL PLANS, SECTION 18. 1 EROSION CONTROL STANDARDS, and <br /> SECTION 22 PENALTIES and involve minor wording changes to <br /> bring the Ordinance into compliance with modifications adopted <br /> by the North Carolina Sedimentation Control Commission. <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS <br /> The proposed amendments to the Orange County Zoning • <br /> Ordinance are as follows: <br /> 1. Amend ARTICLE 22. DEFINITIONS by revising the <br /> definitions of "Structure" , "Principal Use" , and <br /> "Accessory Use"; deleting definitions for "Principal <br /> Building" and "Accessory Building"; and adding <br /> definitions for "Multiple Use" , "Principal Structure" <br /> and "Accessory Structure" . The amendment provides <br /> clarification in determining how a particular structure <br /> or use is classified. <br />
