Box 8181 <br /> Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> Dear Mr. Link: <br /> • <br /> Re: Municipal Water and Sewer Service <br /> New Elementary School <br /> I am pleased to report to you that the Hillsborough Town Board <br /> received favorably the request of the Orange County Board of Education <br /> for municipal water and sewer service as outlined in the attached <br /> document. You will, recall that I sent you a copy of this proposal <br /> earlier prior to my attendance at the Hillsborough Town Board Meeting. <br /> The consensus of the Town Board when I met with them on June 19 was <br /> that they are very interested in providing water and sewer service to <br /> the school within the provisions of the County Water and Sewer Policy. <br /> Furthermore, they indicated a willingness to share in the cost of the <br /> installation of these lines, and I am to continue my dialogue with you <br /> and Mr. Whitaker on the specifics of the financial cost in any proposals <br /> on sharing of costs. <br /> I would appreciate any reaction that can be given to this proposal <br /> by the Orange County Board of Commissioners since the provision of water <br /> and sewer service to the school is covered by the County Water and Sewer <br /> Policy and the joint planning agreement with Chapel Hill and Carrboro. <br /> Specifically, I would request that this proposal be included on the agenda <br /> of the joint public hearing to be held in August with Orange County, Chapel <br /> Hill and Carrboro.
