: r 7 <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF LUP-4-89, AN AMENDMENT TO <br /> THE JOINT PLANNING AREA LAND USE PLAN (ENVIROTEK, INC. ) <br /> (89-4-24/R-3b) <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill has considered <br /> the. application of Envirotek, Incorporated, to amend the Joint <br /> Planning Area Land Use Plan by creating a Commercial Activity <br /> Transition Node on 159 acres near the I-40 interchange and south <br /> of New Hope Church Road and redesignating another 265 acres north <br /> of the proposed node from Rural Buffer to Agricultural Residen- <br /> tial, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill has determined <br /> that the proposed amendment cannot be justified as " due to <br /> changing conditions in a particular area of the County," does not <br /> correct an •error or omission in the Joint Planning Area Land Use <br /> Plan, and is incompatible with the operating principles of the <br /> Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that it <br /> denies Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan LUP-4-89 - Envirotek, <br /> Incorporated. <br /> This the 24th day of April, 1989. <br /> I - <br />
