ANALYSIS • <br /> An information base must be created with sufficient <br /> breadth and depth to support decisions in the planning <br /> stage. Typically this information can be categorized into <br /> the following outline. <br /> a. Existing context within the regional patterns of <br /> 1 urbanization. transportation, open space, recreation, <br /> and ownership. <br /> b. Landscape characteristics including physiography, <br /> geology, hydrology, soils, vegetation, and wildlife. <br /> o. Historical/archaeologic/cultural features. <br /> . d. Projected patterns of growth, development. <br /> • - transportation, infrastructure. <br /> e. Perceptual factors: landscape types, images, public <br /> perceptions. <br /> . , <br /> These data should be mapped in a consistent and easily- <br /> ] understandable format. with a final "composite resource - <br /> analysis" drawn and described. This last map will serve as <br /> the basis for group discussion in the following phase of the <br /> project. <br /> 2. COORDINATION. DISCUSSION & PLANNING <br /> In cooperation with staff of the Orange County <br /> Planning . <br /> ing Department, we will schedule meetings of other <br /> public, quasi-public, and private entities. The purpose of <br /> these meetings will be to discuss comcepts for planning <br /> segemnts of the New Hope Creek corridor, based on the <br /> . findings of the inventory and analysis phase. Upon . <br /> - acceptance of our proposal we would establish a project <br /> schedule and assign responsibility for liason with various <br /> groups. Based on the outcome of discussions, we would <br /> prepare a draft master plan for the corridor, to be reviewed <br /> by elected officials, appointed boards, and those groups who <br /> participated in the process.
