2 <br /> Durham County Inventory, and Duke students. <br /> Rather than limiting the scope of the study to Durham <br /> County only, Coulter Associates is requesting monetary <br /> ($5,000 each) and staff support from Orange County and <br /> the Town of Chapel Hill to include the Orange County <br /> portion of the corridor. <br /> Coulter Associates also proposes the formation of a New <br /> Hope Creek Citizens Advisory (or Steering) Committee <br /> comprised of public and private organizations and <br /> individuals in plan preparation and implementation. <br /> Completion of the detailed plan is anticipated within <br /> three months. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that Orange County participate <br /> in the development of a detailed plan for the New Hope <br /> Creek corridor as outlined by Coulter Associates, <br /> including the provision of staff and financial support. <br /> An agreement between Orange County and Coulter <br /> Associates can be developed and presented for the <br /> Board's consideration on June 16. Funds for the project <br /> are available in the Board of Commissioners Contigency <br /> Fund. <br />
