Fikes. <br /> Request for Release of Funds and <br /> Certification TELEPHONE NUMBER- <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: Tc approve execution of the Request for Release of Funds <br /> and Certifioaticn fr the Rencher Street CDBG Program by <br /> the Chair of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> BACKGROUND: The 1988 CDBG award of $600, 00C for the Rencher Street Area <br /> listed four conditions which had to be met before CDBG <br /> expenditures in activities except administration could take <br /> place. These four conditions were: <br /> 1 . Completion of an Environmental Assessment; <br /> 2. Citizen Participation Plan Development and • <br /> Certification; • <br /> • <br /> 3 . Flood Plain Certification; and <br /> 4. Fair Housing Flan Development . <br /> All four 4) conditions have been met and therefore, the <br /> County must now make a formal request to NRCD for the <br /> release of all CDEG program funds. <br /> This -formal request is accomplished with the attached <br /> Request for Release of Funds and Certification which must <br /> be signed by the Chief Elected Official of the County. <br /> 4 . <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> Approve the execution of the Request for Release of Funds <br /> Funds and Certifcation by the Chair of the Board of <br /> Commissioners as the Chief Elected Official of the County. <br />
