Fikes <br /> 1—Funding Approval Form <br /> 2-Emergency Shelter Grant Agreement <br /> 3-Agreement: w/InterFaith Council TELEPHONE NUMBER- <br /> ; Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: To approve the execution of the Emergency Shelter Grant <br /> Agreement and Funding Approval Form with NRCD and the <br /> execution of an Agreement with the subgrantee - InterFaith <br /> Council for Social Service. , <br /> • <br /> BACKGROUND: : On May 1 , 1289, Orange COunty was awarded $13,338 in <br /> Emergency Shelter Grant funds to be used for the IFC <br /> • Shelter for the Homeless in Chapel Hill . The InterFaith <br /> Council will serve as subrecipient of the grant funds and <br /> will expend funds for the ongoing operation and maintenance <br /> of the Shelter. <br /> In order to receive funds, the County must execute a Grant <br /> Agreement and Funding Approval form. These documents along <br /> with the approved Grant .Application and regulations <br /> constitute a contract between NRCD and Orange- County. <br /> Additionally, an Agreement between InterFaith and Orange <br /> County must be executed. This agreement will govern the <br /> expenditure of funds for the approved activities. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> • Approve the execution of the Emergency Shelter Grant <br /> Agreement , Funding Approval and the Agreement with <br /> InterFaith Council and authorize the Chair to sign on <br /> behalf of the Pcard. <br /> • <br />
