Verner and Mr. Berl Bernard who <br /> are the owners of property in Orange County which is situated <br /> in the 400-foot buffer located between the "Carrboro Transition <br /> Area II" , as defined in the Joint Land Use Plan, and the <br /> . Blackwood Division of Duke Forest. <br /> My clients fully support the Town of Carrboro request <br /> that the 400-foot buffer be removed and that the land <br /> redesignated as "Carrboro Transition Area II" consistent <br /> with the adjacent land to the south. <br /> My clients also fully support the request of the Town of <br /> Carrboro that the zoning designation of Rural Buffer currently <br /> applied to the said 400-foot buffer strip south of Duke Forest <br /> be changed to Carrboro Rural Residential (RR) , pending the <br /> said Land Use Plan Amendments referred to above. <br /> • • <br /> My clients respectfully request that the respective <br /> governmental authorities and Board take such appropriate <br /> action as may be required to amend the Joint Planning Area <br /> Land Use Plan and to rezone the affected property as requested <br /> by the Town of Carrboro, <br /> Please include this letter as part of the official record <br /> of the public hearing to be held on Thursday, April 6, 1989 <br /> • <br />
